Pokemon CrAzIneSs!

For all those moms out there with little boys who have not yet been exposed to the inner workings of Pokemon...your time will come! The Pokemon craze has definitely hit our home with a vengeance. Supposedly, it is a "first grade" fad. (Since Jacob is in first grade and had never mentioned Pokemon previously, I'm leaning towards believing this.) The bottom line is this: Once the craze hits, you will NEVER go to the grocery store again without your son attempting to coerce you into buying him a new set of Pokemon cards (at least 3 times per trip). Your son will love any food product with Pokemon on the label (my son has taken a curious liking to the new Kraft Pokemon Mac 'N Cheese). And...chances are, he will also want a Pokemon birthday party. Case in point...See pictures from Jacob's Pokemon Party.

Behold, the Pikachu and Pokeball cupcakes and a little Pokeball cake.

Table set up!

Poke Ball! (More commonly referred to as "dodge ball".)

Pokemon Bingo!

"Ash Says". (For those of you not in the know...Ash is the most famous Pokemon trainer.)

Pokemon Musical Chairs.

Time for cake!

  3. Hi! My son would like Pinkachu cupcakes for his birthday. How did you make the eyes on yours? Also, it looks like the ears are candy corns covered in frosting. How did you attach them? Toothpicks? Are the cheeks made from gumdrops? Thanks for any help you can give me! Super cute cupcakes!
